Description:

For six weeks in the deep of winter, North Pole capitalizes on what we do best: Ice!

This event showcases local and international ice carver’s creations in the winter wonderland of Fairbanks’ bedroom community, the North Pole. Located adjacent to the Santa Claus house (boasting an amazing assortment of toys and Alaskan gifts), you will be able to enjoy two of our great winter attractions at once. The park emphasizes Christmas themes, and is host to several family events such as picnics (yes, in December!) and kid crafts. You will be able to enjoy activities such as ice slides, mazes and specially created “twirlers” for the kids, as well as beautiful ice sculptures for all to view. There are even demonstrations for how ice sculpture is done. The New Year’s Eve event includes a northern version of the Snowflake Drop, somewhat akin to New York’s Time Square ball drop.

Hours of operation are Sunday thru Thursday, 11 am-9 pm; Friday and Saturday, 11 am-10 pm.
