The Cape May Washington Street Mall will be alive with activity on Easter Sunday, April 20, when participants for the Easter Fashion Stroll in their best outfits register at noon near the Rotary Clock.
The stroll starts at one o’clock. There are prizes for children by age. The groups are 3 and under, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13 and up. There is a prize for Best Children’s Easter Bonnet.
Prizes are given for Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Family and Best Adult Easter Bonnet. There are first, second and thirds place awards in each category.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand to give out jelly beans and hugs. A perfect photo op. The merchants on the mall celebrate the event with prizes, treats and gift certificates. There is free ice cream for all the children contestants. If it rains, the event is held in the Parish Hall of Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church.
Antoinette’s guest house and suites on Washington Street is the perfect location for a family-style Easter weekend. To complete the weekend, plan to attend a church service, check out what is going on at the Nature Center, the Physick Estate, the Lighthouse, go bike riding, or just enjoy the sunsets on Cove Beach. It is a time to relax with family.

From the Author: After being a spectator of the Easter Stroll for over five years, it is so much fun to watch the children smile and flaunt their Easter fashions.
