Whether cooking is your passion, your profession or just your interest, joining a cooking lesson at The Kitchen at The Store is simply a great evening out. The format for many of the lessons is that under the expert guidance of a professional chef you cook your own dinner then enjoy it at the end of the evening, with maybe some left-overs to take home, all for the price around that of a nice dinner out.

The Kitchen at the back of The Store is simply gorgeous, and is well designed to allow your instructor to interact with each member of the class while they are “learning on the job”!

And perhaps the best part of it all is being instructed by Chef John Lumbra shown here, who is loads of fun as well as having great credentials.  John is a native Vermonter who was trained as a chef at the highly regarded Johnson & Wales University where he earned an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts, a Management Degree in Food Service and was awarded the Practicum Fellowship. He returned to Vermont in 2001 and for the last few years at The Kitchen he has been helping local residents and visitors alike in the finer details of culinary success.

Classes are scheduled regularly and you can call The Store for the latest info.  You can also arrange a private class for you and a few of your friends, or ask whatever local lodging you are booked to stay at to make the arrangements for you.  You will not be disappointed!
