Description:

A historic 1846 cobblestone home rumored to have been on the Underground Railroad. This unique stone home was built by William Swales for his daughter Elizabeth Swales-Preston as a wedding gift and remained in the ancestral family for nearly 150 years. The property is currently listed on the National and State Register of Historic Places under the Preston-Gaylord Cobblestone Farmhouse.

The property is surrounded by woodland wildlife preserve and apple orchards situated on the south shore of Lake Ontario. Just 2 miles west of Sodus Point-Sodus Bay, and halfway between Rochester and Syracuse, NY.

The Inn features 5 well-appointed guest rooms with private baths and furnished with some antiques. In addition, we offer a private cobblestone guest cottage; formerly a carriage house.  Perfect for families and groups or extended stays, the private cottage offers 2 private efficiency suites. Each offers a separate entrance, kitchenette, private bath, sitting area, and twin beds.
