Magic Hobbies is the hidden gem of Strasburg, but it should not be!

While traveling through Strasburg on State Route 250/21 Magic hobbies is just outside the center of town, a big tan warehouse type building with a full-sized yellow plane out front.  One will be amazed and brought back to their childhood when you step inside.  Rooms upon rooms of trains, planes and race cars along with puzzles, models, hot wheels, pine wood derby kits, slot cars and rockets.

Owned by son Mike Himes and father David Himes, Magic Hobbies has been in business for seven years.  The hobby store is open six days a week and seven days a week in winter.  I am guessing if you are looking for a particular item involving trains, planes and race cars you will find it here and if not Mike and David can probably order it for you!  The owners are very knowledgeable about their inventory and the hobbies they promote and are happy to share information with all who come in.

Magic Hobbies also has a large track for RC cars (radio controlled) which is open to the public to race on.  In one of their many rooms is a model train lay-out, just ask the owners to turn it so you can reminisce.

If you do not have a hobby, you may when you leave the store!  So step away from your phone and lap-top and stop into Magic Hobbies and play with some real toys.  Enjoy the magic!
