Description:

Located in Kerrytown’s Historic Market District, only  a few blocks from the heart of downtown Ann Arbor you will find Kerrytown Market & Shops. This is  a neighborhood with the charm of an earlier time, and Kerrytown Market & Shops has the most unique collection of shops in the area.

Named after County Kerry, Ireland, Kerrytown was part of the original village of Ann Arbor.  It was converted into markets and shops in the late 1960s, preserving the brick and exposed beams of these old buildings. It was one of the first, if not the first, conversion of a manufacturing building into retail space in the United State.

Today it is truly a one of a kind shopping experience on two levels.  On the lower level, your taste buds will be tempted as you browse through Monahan’s for fresh fish, Sparrow Market for fresh produce, homemade sausages and deli meats, Everyday Wines, The Lunch Room for vegan dining and Sweetwaters for coffee, tea and sweets.

Locally owned shops invite you to head upstairs, like Elephant Ears for kids, V2V for women’s fashion, bridal and home decor, Spice Merchants for spices and dried herbs from around the world, Hollanders, Found Princess Designs and 16 Hands for unique gifts.  In addition, you can play the chime every Saturday from 10:30am to 11:00am, Wednesday and Friday from 12pm to 12:30pm.

The Market hours are:
Monday – Friday 8am to 7pm
Saturday 7am to 6pm
Sunday 9am to 6pm

The second floor merchants hours are:
Monday – Friday 10am to 6pm
Saturday 9am to 6pm
Sunday 11am to 5pm

From the Author: I love to visit the Kerrytown area and shops. It is a charming area in Ann Arbor with buildings from the 1800's, so just walking around is a delight. The Ann Arbor Farmer's market is adjacent to Kerrytown. Since I am a "foodie", I can't resist the Spice Merchants shop with a huge assortment of spices and teas, Sparrow produce, or Everyday Wines.
