The building of Emily’s Eatery in Knife River, Minnesota has been a bed and breakfast, a café, a general store and is now a great casual dining restaurant and it is a destination stop on your next trip up Minnesota’s North Shore. Opened in June, 2017, Emily’s Eatery is named after Emily Erickson who immigrated from Norway back in the 1920s. Emily was very involved in the community of Knife River which was originally a copper mining settlement back in the day. Knife River is named because of the Knife River that winds through the town to Lake Superior. Knife River is now known for its commercial fishing, smoked fish and trout fishing.

Emily’s Eatery features appetizers, soups and salads, burgers, sandwiches, and fresh fish dinners and lunches. As you enjoy your lunch or dinner at Emily’s Eatery the view of Lake Superior is breath taking. The fresh fish is caught daily from the big lake and is prepared and served beautifully. The nautical and historical themed restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday their hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Live music is offered in the evening. Groups are encouraged to reserve their birthday party, anniversary get together or work party at Emily’s Eatery.
