Description:

Country Girl Diner, is hands down THE local favorite eating spot in Chester. From their quirky, daily specials to their town-famous smash burger, you will never find a diner like Country Girl.

This diner is an old train-car, parked in Chester, Vermont since the 50s.

They first became famous for their tomato corn chowder, which they still serve today. The new owners, which you are sure to meet in the front of the house, bought the Diner in 2011 and quickly reestablished it’s reputation. They bring in all their bread, buns (even for the foot-long hot dog) from a local baker from Chester. Their specials consist of whatever is in season, put on top of a burger, or in a wrap, or in it’s own combination on a toasted bulkie roll. For instance, I had one of the best hot dog specials I’ve ever come across, topped with scallions and carrots and a thai peanut sauce . . . and YES in a diner!

Come in and check out the originality of this place, from their coolers in the front, to the bar stools to the magnetic walls, it’s like walking back in time . . . until you get your food! You will not be disappointed!
