While not in the heart of Youngstown a meal here is well worth the few extra miles.  You can expect home style portions but the food is definitely a step up from home cooking.

Bandana’s Bar and Grill is open for all three meals each day and you can expect at least one daily special for each meal.  When was the last time you had Creole Pecan Butterscotch Oatmeal or Grand Mariner cinnamon French Toast for breakfast at home, or anywhere else for that matter?  Just reading the days specials can make a person hungry.   Try a lunch of Chili Dog Hash, which is the house specialty potato hash topped with beef chili, cheddar cheese sauce, sweet & spicy relish, and served with 2 hot dogs, or maybe Chipotle BBQ bacon wrapped prawns, served with red rice & butternut squash is more to your liking.  Try sherried shrimp and biscuit soup, or southwest chicken nachos before you dig into your main dinner dish of potato crusted rainbow trout or Cajun grilled porterhouse.  And don’t forget desert: maybe an inside out jelly donut or a churro sundae.

Can’t forget that this is a bar and the drinks are just as innovative as the meals. They even have breakfast drinks such as banana rum with OJ and a splash of cranberry or banana coconut rum with OJ.

If you enjoy dining alfresco, there is a large outdoor dining space.  And bikers take note, there is a special parking lot blocked off for you with plates for your stand.
