Description:

The Pioneer Volunteer Firefighters Association (PVFA) presents their 16th Annual Crab Banquet at Perry Creek Winery Saturdays, January 11th & 18th, 2014.

Yes, you read that right, the Crab BANQUET. It’s a true banquet: linen table clothes, cloth napkins, china, silverware, souvenir wine glasses, clarified butter w/warmers, tartar sauce, and much more. The servers, in teams of two, bring each of the seven course meal: Hors d’oevure, New England Claim Chowder, Caesar Salad, pasta w/sauce, Sherbert w/Champagne, Fresh Dungeness Crab, Cheesecake & Coffee. Two complimentary bottles of wine are on each table of eight.

Additional wine is available from the Perry Creek Winery selection. Proceeds benefit the local Fair Play PVFA. If that isn’t enough for you then read on carefully. One of the most popular bands in Northern California, Jackson Steele, will be playing all evening. Dancing is when you like to get out there on the dance floor. Wait, there’s more, raffles prizes, keys to unlock two cases of a selection of local wines, Thomas Kinkade, the painter of light, paintings are auctioned in a live competitive auction, silent auctions for beautiful gifts and then there is the grand finale–a robust, live auction for the Salmanazar bottle of wine – that’s 1 case of wine.

The PVFA uses the money raised to buy thing like the jaws of life for two engines, two heat activated lights to spot fire victims, fire gear for firemen. The Fire District has both full-time and volunteer staff.

Tickets are only $60 each.

From the Author: We have gone to most of these. We are very supportive of our local firefighters. In fact, Lucinda & I have volunteered to work a few of the events. We finally reached a point that after working all night, as late as midnight, we couldn't do breakfast the next morning for our guests. Lucinda's Country Inn donates many items and has ever since we opened nine years ago. These events are the major fundraiser for the PVFA. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated.
