Duluth’s newest eatery is Tavern on the Hill located near the University of Minnesota Duluth on Woodland Avenue in beautiful Duluth Minnesota. The outside of the building is breath taking with its flickering copper signs and exquisite stone work. The building was constructed on a site that used to be just a hill with really big rocks and a place where kids could hang out. The owner of Tavern on the Hill claims his first kiss on that site and is now very proud of the new restaurant. The restaurant is a part of the Bluestone Development and the location has become a hub of service industry buildings, coffee and ice cream shops, loft living and the new Tavern on the Hill restaurant.

The menu is extensive at Tavern on the Hill and begins with appetizers and starters to include street tacos, sushi and soups served with a toast point. Salads, rice, bean and pasta bowls, paninis, sandwiches, and burgers are all choices for lunch. Dinners are accompanied with a choice of starch and some of the entreées on the menu are Black and Blue Sirloin, Bison Pot Pie, Lake Superior Whitefish, and Spicy Jambalaya. Neopolitan-style pizza is offered with a thin crust and authentic San Marzano sauce with fresh mozzarella. Dessert is extensive and to die for and natural refreshments and drinks flow abundantly!

As you walk in the beautiful front door of Tavern on the Hill, you may choose to pick up food from under the glass in the deli market or you may call ahead and order food at the curbside-to-go or enjoy eating right on site. Hours at the restaurant are Sunday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The deli market opens daily at 9 a.m.
