Hot Springs welcomed the arrival of the Superior Bath House Brewery & Distillery in July 2013. What better way to re-purpose the hot thermal waters than to create craft beers! Although the Superior’s own craft brews are not yet ready for tasting, they serve a great collection of regional and Arkansas craft brews. Order a sampler of 4 different tastings, while people-watching from your perfect vantage point. Or try the homemade root beer or seltzer water.
In addition to great craft beers, we love the food at the Superior. With eclectic brew pub fare and an ever-changing short menu, you will not be disappointed. The hummus dip is superb, as is the chili. The food is freshly prepared, and often includes organic and locally sourced products.
The Superior Bath House was closed for 30 years, and thanks to the efforts of Distillatrix and owner, Rose, new life and great vibes have infused the Superior. In addition to being a lover of brews, Rose is a professional tubist! Come hang out, and enjoy the simple joys of the Superior Bath House.
From the Author: Our daughter Kelley plans to move to Portland, OR in a few years. Until then, she and her husband, Devin, call the Superior "their Portland". The funky events at the Superior add a sense of fun, and Devin even entered their "Beard and Beer" contest recently.
