Hot Springs, Arkansas is famous for the thermal waters, and was the site of the first land in the United States set aside as a protected national park! For more than a thousand years, travelers have come to the Spa City to soak in the healing, thermal waters. Native Americans came to this valley in peace, respecting the healing properties of the area. The thermal waters have been carbon dated to 4,000 BCE!
Today, the best spot to take in the waters is at the beautiful Quapaw Baths & Spa, located in one of the restored historic bathhouses of the Hot Springs National Park. At the Quapaw, you can soak in a private whirlpool tub for two then follow-up with a therapeutic massage. Or simply soak the day away in one of the four public pools (swimsuit required).
Some guests spend all day at the Quapaw, enjoying long soaks, a delicious lunch, and even a glass of wine.
From the Author: You'll enjoy great music occasionally in the evenings with live jazz played on the veranda of the Quapaw. Stroll along Central Avenue, especially on Gallery Walk nights.
