Memory Park is noted for its beautiful location; nestled in a small modern residential development on the Pacific Ocean shoreline hidden in Pismo Beach, CA. The little park is situated atop the bluffs overlooking the coastline with it’s magnificent views of rock formations and the waves splashing ashore. A walk along the beach creates new memories and nobody seems to know the true story of the name Memory Park. There is a plaque commemorating the dedicated service to Pismo Beach by William & Mary Costas. There is no mention of what that service was, but one must assume it was a long service to the city and or people of Pismo Beach. It seems to be the park has its name after their memory, but who knows without being a resident of Pismo Beach.

The park is the perfect spot for a quiet stroll overlooking the coast line or better still a retreat for lunch along your drive down or up Highway 1, The Pacific Coast Highway. Along this stretch of the road it is also known as the El Camino Real; the path traveled by the Spanish Missionaries while they built the Missions of California. In nearby San Luis Obispo you can visit the the San Luis Obispo Mission. It is one of the 22 California Missions along the western side of California.
