Description:
Right in the center of a small, rural South Carolina town, you will find Trent and Windy offering a wonderful dining experience. Lilfred’s is a historic landmark in Rembert, South Carolilna. It was original opened in 1951 by a couple named Fred and Lilly. Fred and Lilly’s original “famous” coleslaw recipe is still being offered as a salad option today.
Or, you can enjoy a beautiful green salad with your option of dressings. They are steeped in Southern hospitality and serve a wide variety of fine dining options. The current menu has some very interesting appetizers, the entrees include a variety of steaks, fish, pork, pasta and each is highlighted with farm-to-table fresh vegetables (Tobacco Onions- Fried Grits Cake, Basket of Croutons, Potato Frites, Stoned Ground Grits, Haricots Verts, Sautéed Spinach). And there is always a wide variety of fresh desserts…it is very difficult not to try them all.
From the Author: Trendy Thursday: You will not want to miss this price fixed dinner option: The evening begins with a chef's bite, followed by an appetizer (the beef medallion is wonderful), salad or coleslaw, a full entree (go for the catfish if it is offered the night you visit), and a chef selected dessert.
