Description:

Many folks coming to Lancaster County end up going to the town of Intercourse. One of the many places there is the Kitchen Kettle Village which includes over 40 unique shops …. all in a village like setting.

The village was established more than 60 years ago with a passion for good hospitality and food. And now years later, the village has become a one-of-a-kind destination with the emphasis being predominately on food. There is the jam and relish shop where you can experience and see the process of preserving food and the rest of the shop has stations where you can sample the jams or try some shoofly pie. In the village is a shop where you can buy locally cured meats or cheeses. Kitchen Kettle truly is a quaint community of shopkeepers where guests can shop for locally-made products.

In addition, there are festivals planned throughout the year to celebrate foods – such as a rhubarb festival, a tailgate harvest festival, a live music “jam session” and ending in December with carolers, s’more making and dinner with Mrs. Claus.
There is a restaurant within the village for breakfast or dinner. And you can include a countryside tour in a horse-drawn carriage for a ride through the scenic farm country.
