Just up the road from the iconic Five Islands Lobster Company is this combination farm stand and gourmet shop. Five Islands Farm has a great selection of local fruit and vegetables, wine, craft beer, and one of the best assortments of Maine artisan cheeses in the Midcoast. You can also find gourmet ice cream, crackers and other snacks, local artisan bread, freshly made pies, and even frozen meats and entrees for a quick meal in the cottage.
In July and August, the store is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm, Wednesday through Saturday. In May and June, and after Labor Day, call for hours and closed days.
From the Author: A favorite of Georgetown residents and visitors alike, Heidi Klingerhoffer's beautiful shop never fails to impress. The wine, craft beer, and cheese selection is outstanding. The produce is from the very best local farmers. A great place to put together a picnic for the beach at Reid State Park, to pick up a bottle of wine or beer to take down the hill to the Five Islands Lobster Company dock to have with your lobster dinner, or for snacks and drinks at cocktail time.
