The Duluth Heritage Sports Center opened in January 2009 as part of the Clyde Park development project and has made a significant improvement to the landscape in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth Minnesota. This sports center is a place where youth, adults and families can gather to ice skate, watch hockey, play hockey, attend camps and programs and enjoy sports of all kinds. The beautifully designed building is filled with history displays, photographs, commemorative brick walls, banners and more to take in and learn about. There are two sheets of ice in the arena and one sheet of ice is turned into turf in the summer months that includes a 200 meter walking track. The modern building is right next door to the Clyde Iron Works Restaurant and minutes from other eating establishments and just a block from Stewarts sports shop where skate sharpening and sports supplies are readily available.
On Thursdays in the summer months the program “Champions Building Champions” is available to youth from the ages of 7-17 and the sports activities take place on the turf at the arena. 3D archery is also available for those interested. Open skating is always available and the facility may be rented for skating parties and special events. The facility will cater a party with events and food for the perfect company event or birthday party!
The summer sports camps are held in a variety of activities including skating, softball, fishing, lacrosse, football, hunting, dodge ball and more. Coaches and helpers are local college athletes and sports lovers who teach and mentor the youth of Duluth to love sports and excel at their favorite sporting activity.
Take time to explore the Duluth Heritage Sports Center when you are in Duluth Minnesota on your next vacation or getaway.
