Imagine sitting in a walled garden with tables and chairs filled with happy people drinking locally crafted beer as they munch on soup, burgers and sandwiches. That is the essence of this microbrewery.
The owners, Matt and Rene Greff began their adventure in downtown Ann Arbor in 1995 at the brew pub, the Arbor Brewing Company, where they made their beer and served up great food. Wanting to bottle their beer, they bought an old manufacturing plant near a neighborhood off the beaten path in their hometown of Ypsilanti.
They served their craft beer to an appreciative audience and gradually expanded the kitchen so they now served a wide variety of pub food for brunch, lunch, dinner and late night, as well as wine. It has become a well-known destination in our area for craft beer lovers.

From the Author: Because this location is on the corner of Forest and Norris, just about one half mile off the Cross Street and Depot Town, they have positioned an antique firetruck near the street and visible to all....you can't miss it! There is plenty of parking on both sides of the building. It's a great place.
