Description:

For many years this restaurant property was the famous Gina’s Pies Are Square in Wilton, Wisconsin. This past year there are new owners and it is now called “400 Main”.  I was happy to meet the new owners, talk with them and receive a menu for the bed and breakfast. Built in 1908, the building is unique on the inside and outside. It is located in a small community of Wilton, and has been a piece of Monroe County for 100 years.  It has historical ambience of days gone by.

Wilton is along the Elroy-Sparta Bike path and has thousands of visitors each year. Wilton is the half-way point of the trail so many stop at 400 Main for a drink and something to eat before they continue on the rest of their bike ride.  It is a unique building of brickwork, tin ceiling, hardwood floors and old fashion trim work making it very interesting place to visit.

You must stop in, eat and visit when you are biking or driving down the back roads of Wisconsin Driftless area of Southwest Wisconsin.

From the Author: I have been to meet the owners and they are very nice and they have good food. This is a great little town and the building is very unique and is a must stop when you are traveling in the area. The outside has a beautiful painted mural and the inside has wonderful and unique charm.
