Colonial Christmas at Davidson’s Fort

Colonists who had settled into what is now the town of Old Fort, NC, lived for a time in what was the westernmost outpost of the colonial frontier, during the time of the American Revolution. The North Carolina militia built a fort in the area for protection, naming it for a member of the Davidson family who owned the land. Read More…
