If you are a native to Williamsburg then you know the names, the Chohany brothers, John and Mickey have been in the public eye for many years with at least 4 restaurants under their belts and this the “Second Street Bistro” is probably this girls favorite of them all.

Second Street offers wonderful selections on their menu that are fresh, uncomplicated and seasonal. Whether it be the Lump Crab Cakes, the Smoked Chicken & Dumplings or the Balsamic Barbeque Braised Pork Shank just to name a few, the menu will offer something for everyone that will both satisfy your taste buds and your wallet as most entries are between $15 and $25 with smaller plates like Ahi Tuna Carpaccio, Pork “Wings” and Seafood Risotto going for around $5 to $15.

The Wine selection is amazing at Second Street Bistro, the last time there, I counted over 100 on the menu with your typical whites and reds by the glass along with red blends, Francs, Rieslings, Aperitif and dessert wines, they also have their fair share of ales, lagers and specialty beers.

Desserts are another story at Second Street. They can not be described in one word, I must use two here. The first thing you notice when they arrive at your table is that they are HUGE! and the second thing, on first bite, you will notice is that the are INCREDIBLE! Just remember this when ordering.

The atmosphere, decor and service are also going to add to the pleasant experience you will have as it is somewhat casually trendy with a true southern-hospitality-minded staff that certainly aims to please.
