Description:

Linda Bottjer and her team offer great weekly ghost tours, other general history tours, and food and wine outings in Placerville and El Dorado County. On June 26, from 7-8:30 pm, they present this special event where current business  owners will present behind-the-scene stories of the ghostly encounters at their establishments. Let your guide escort you back in time to 19th century “Hangtown.” Bring your cameras! You might meet Amy, a mischievous  Victorian girl,  or experience some odd spirits over Hangtown Creek, or perhaps see Great Aunt Blanche!

We enjoy Linda’s tours because they are entertaining, humorous, and well researched. This evening is an extra special opportunity to learn about Placerville’s gold rush history from its spooky side! The tour is limited to 15 people, who are at least a mature 10 years of age or more. Reservations are required. Unlike the weekly tours, this event is not ADA compatible due to stairs. Cost is $22/person.

From the Author: This is a side of history you don't usually get! The guides are funny, interesting, and have researched their history. Their tours give people chills and laughs, both. We are excited to have 4 store owners share the "inside scoop" of Main Street ghosts - including those at the Placerville Hardware Store, a favorite of ours, which is the oldest continuously operated hardware store west of the Mississippi... no wonder it has a few ghosts around!
