Description:

What better way to shop for fresh produce and local foods than the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market. It is open every Wednesday from 3:00-7:00 pm June through October.   There is something here for everyone.  For example,  Camp Tuscazoar sells pure maple syrup from taps on the camp property. Numerous produce stands featuring herbs, lettuce, squashes, melons, cucumbers and tomatoes are popular booths.  Let us not forget the fresh corn on the cob and how good it will taste hot and dripping with butter!  If you have a sweet tooth, the Farmers Market has vendors to satisfy:  Amish Country Donuts, Biscotti by the Bunch, Hollyho Made Pies, Joyful Jars Jams and Jellies, L Eats Sweet Treats produces cookies, cakes, cupcakes and pies.  Last but not least is Schloneger’s Ice Cream.  You just cannot walk away without a cone or root beer float.

If you are not interested in food, Helwig’s Family Nursery sells flowers, plants and fruit trees.  Cush Gardens sell perennials, herbs and cut flowers. One vendor, Possum Products, specializes in hand made wooden toys and B4 Farm offers hand spun wool and knitted items.  As you can see the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market offers a variety of options.  Still operating at the Tuscarawas County Fair grounds, the Farmers Market has relocated under the grandstand which works out better on those rainy summer days. Food vendors with mouth watering eats for all appetites are plentiful.
