Nestled in my home town of Dexter, Maine is The Mansion Event Home. The historic 1912 Mediterranean mansion is situated on three acres of gardens with sweeping lawns and woodlands. This spectacular home once hosted the country’s finest names as an elite boy’s preparatory school. The school was home to young men whose families names ring true with time – Roosevelt, Rockefeller, Firestone, and Hammerstein just to name a few. The list continues on and so does this restored event home.

Starting on Sunday June 2nd they are going to be doing a special event known as “The Mansion Event Home Supper Clubs”. It will be a “reservation only” dinner party. Guests of my Inn, The Brewster Inn, are very welcome to attend as well. You’ll get to experience the elegant ambiance of The Mansion, while enjoying classical music and meandering through the gardens with appetizers and cocktails.

They will be doing an elaborate buffet meal including a spring mix salad with an abundant selection of toppings and dressings. There will be three main courses to select from at this dinner which will include: Prime rib of beef, delectable crab cakes and a vegetable pasta primavera. The complimenting side dishes to savor will be: butter baked paprika potatoes, steamed and seasoned fresh broccoli and sautéed mushrooms and onions in red wine. Sure to please every pallet! Finish off the evening with fresh brewed coffee, a selection of teas and elaborate dessert buffet with sweet cakes and chocolate.

Priced At $50 per-person your appetite will be well satisfied and your experience will evoke a special memory not only of a wonderful stay at The Brewster Inn but an excellent evening and meal at the Mansion Event Home
