Description:

Wild. Crazy. Dumbstruck. Awe. The annual Boykin Christmas Parade, the Sunday before Christmas, is probably the most unique Holiday Parade in our great Nation…in the world. Unless you have attended in years past, you have never seen such a creative parade.

Rain or shine, thousands of spectators line Boykin Mill Road, just ten miles south of Camden, South Carolina, to:
1) see what mode of transportation Santa selects
2) meet the Fatback Queen and his Court
3) watch beautiful horses prance through town
4) performances by a Gospel Choir
5) enjoy pigs, cows, dogs, odd humans and so much more.

Although the parade does not begin until mid-afternoon, you will want to arrive by noon. Lunch, Road Kill (bar-be-que) Cook-Off, is a must experience. Be prepared, you will have to walk a little distance to get the best seat for the parade; speaking of seats, bring your own lawn chairs.

No admission fee. All donations (very appreciated) go to the preservation of the Swift Creek Church.

From the Author: There are two approaches to Boykin Mill Road, Hwy 521 and Hwy 261. If you arrive after 1pm, be sure to use Hwy 521.
