Winter is here, and what better way is there to stave off the cold than with mulled wine and Swedish fire logs? Barren Ridge Vineyards in Fishersville, Virginia invites you attend their Swedish Fire Festival on January 30, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Your evening will beginning with a glass of wine perfectly paired with Swiss Raclette Cheese in the tasting room. Next you’ll have the pleasure of indulging in a Scandinavian-inspired meal prepared by Chef Mike Lund, a local culinary genius. Once you’ve finished your mouthwatering dinner, enjoy Swiss alpenhorn music out on the enclosed patio, complete with a starlit sky, a dance troupe, a fiddler, and mulled wine to keep you warm.

In case you’re wondering about Barren Ridge Vineyards, this local winery was established in 2004 and is located in a renovated apple barn. Owners John and Shelby Higgins transformed the former apple orchard into August County’s first vineyard and winery.  Join them for a wintery festival!  If you need a place to stay, please consider the Iris Inn located in Waynesboro, Virginia … just 5 miles from Fisherville on US 250!

Between the fireplaces, the extraordinary view, and the knowledge staff members, we are lucky to have such a wonderful winery in Augusta County.
