Jesus Christ Superstar follows the last week of Jesus’ life on earth and is seen through the eyes of his betrayer, Judas Iscariot. This version of the story is told with a new take of the true gospel story in a 1960’s rock opera celebration. Jesus is portrayed as a modern day celebrity with radical teachings and social ideals in this famous play. Even true believers wonder if He is for real and the story unfolds through Judas’ eyes as he betrays his leader. Lyrics are by Tim Rice and music is by Andrew Lloyd Weber.
