Earth Day at The Wilderness Center in Wilmot proves to be a fun adventure for the whole family.  Walk the beautiful trails in springtime, visit the Interpretive Center, nature store and the wildlife viewing room.  Programs are planned for the all day event.  Events for the day are free with exception of the Back Porch Swing Band that starts at 7 pm (admission for this is $10/adults, children under 15 are half price).  Earth Day events start at 8 am with a Bird Walk.  Join the Wilderness Center Bird Club for a hike while looking for and learning about Ohio’s birds.

9 am – 4 pm is trail clean up if you wish.  Not interested in getting your hands dirty?  Stop in at the Interpretative Center for the 18th Annual Foto Fest.  Pick up a ballot and vote for your favorite nature photo.  While in the Interpretative Center stop at the Wild Life viewing room and take in birds, chipmunks and squirrels feeding on the opposite side of the huge viewing windows.  A backpacking/hiking demo from 9 am – 1 pm.  Learn how to pack that backpack, meals to take, first-aid, clothing to wear and view different types of backpacks to find out what is right for you.
