Every November the open air City Market turns on the holiday spirit when it’s vendors start selling unique artisanal items. This year the market begins on November 23rd 2013. They are open from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays until December 21st. So if you are looking for a unique gift for family or friends stop by the market for some truly special products.
You will find photographers, potters, crafters, vintners, cheese mongers, vinegar-makers, soap makers, jam experts, knitters, bakers, mushroom-foragers, wreath makers and many more. All of the items sold are homegrown, hand-made or home baked by the vendors.
Last year we surprised our friends with some wonderful vinegars from Virginia Vinegar Works, jams & preserves from Jams by Daniel, marmalades from Mass A’Peel and some of our favorite goat & cow’s milk cheeses from Caromont. And I can’t forget the honey from Hungry Hill.
