Most of us grew up with coloring books, spending ours practicing how to stay inside the lines, choosing the perfect crayons, and sitting back in satisfaction at the finished product. It’s no wonder that adult coloring books have become so popular in recent years—they’re post a picture of nostalgia and a form of creative stress-relief. (There’s scientific evidence to back up the calming effect of coloring, so it’s not just a passing trend!)
Waynesboro Public Library invites adults to join together and enjoy an evening of Color Therapy on February 17, 2016 starting at 4:00 p.m. Bring a friend, a parent, a significant other, or enjoy some “me time” at this upcoming coloring session. There’s something therapeutic about coloring and something enjoyable about sharing common interests with others. The best part is that this event is not only free, but all supplies will be provided for you as well.
And while you’re at it, check out books, audiobooks, and DVDs at the Waynesboro Public Library. They’ve got a great selection with a huge variety of genres!
From the Author: Coloring always makes me think of fun times during my childhood, and I love that’s adults have reclaimed this activity. The Waynesboro Public Library hosts a number of fun events, so their evening of Color Therapy promises to be enjoyable as well.
