In May, 2010, the dream of many veterans in Cape May County came to be. A replica of the Vietnam Wall in DC was erected in Fox Park, directly across from the Convention Center. The Wildwoods and surrounding towns show their patriotism regularly with parades and gatherings to honor our fallen heroes. Several times, the traveling replica of the Vietnam Wall came to the Wildwoods, but that was just not enough and the idea to have a permanent replica here was born. Through local fundraising efforts and the diligence of several veterans, the wall was erected and stands as a permanent memorial to those who sacrificed everything to our country.
