Overlooking Sesuit Creek, the Marshside restaurant in East Dennis offers an amazing view of the marsh from virtually every table, beautiful décor, an eclectic menu, and scrumptious baked goods from the recent addition of an onsite bakery. Once just a family friendly place for breakfast and lunch, the owners took advantage of a hiatus caused by a nearly year long restoration project planned to restore the marsh and rebuild the bridge across it in 2008. They took this time to re-envision a new and improved Marshside that would better suit their clientele and be fully handicapped accessible. After 10 months of tearing down and building up, the Marshside reopened to rave reviews.

The gardens leading up to the new covered porch and entry way are just a prelude to what you will find once opening the door and entering the facility. Warm woods and earth tones set the stage for the wall of windows that overlook the marsh. Two level seating allows all diners to have a spectacular view of the marsh even if they are not seated directly at a window table. The long polished bar invites guests to linger over a cocktail while catching up with news and sports playing on the overhead flat screen televisions. An enormous stone fireplace adds another layer of warmth in winter.

The menu offers a nice selection of soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees. There is an extensive list of cocktails and wines to choose from, as well as local and regional craft beers. Desserts, breads, and rolls are baked in-house, along with a yummy cheese cracker that adorns the bread basket served before your meal.
