Description:

The Iron Horse Restaurant is a beautiful historic building that dates to the late 1800’s. It originally served travelers as well as local farmers who had business in the town. In times past it was a stage coach and wagon stop. It had lodging on the 2nd floor for those traveling through as well as a place to sit and talk, eat or drink a cold beverage.

The restaurant was recently remodeled and carefully preserved with the look and feel of days gone by. It is located close to the Strasburg Railroad from whence it got its name.Today it is a casual but elegant place to dine with a great selection on the menu. The beef is good as well as the chicken dinners. Their lump crab cakes are super – low on filler and high on jumbo lump crab and definitely worth going back for.

The staff is friendly and inviting and Denise, the owner, personally likes to greet each diner. A good photo opportunity would be to sit on the front porch for your meal and watch the horse and buggies clip-clop by.
