Description:

The Farm at Walnut Creek is a unique adventure enjoyable for all ages.  A working farm that includes exotic animals exposes one to country living and farm life!  Take a one hour wagon ride over 120 acres of rolling farmland and woods.  During your wagon ride you will see the animals in their natural habitat. The animals will approach the wagon hoping you have a bucket of feed for them, so be prepared! You will encounter animals not normally found on a farm in Amish Country such as: giraffes, zebras, buffalo, camels, llamas,  deer, elk, porcupines and tortoises along with a good number of farm animals.  The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of and depending on the season you visit, you may see plowing, planting, or harvesting.  The Farm includes a visit into an Amish house where you may view baking, cooking and canning and quilting.  Baked goods are fresh and for sale. Take a walk over to the Blacksmith shop and watch horses getting fitted for shoes.

The Farm includes a petting area, playground and a large pond with numerous benches where one can sit for a spell and watch all that nature has to offer.  Before leaving be sure to stop at the Farm’s produce stand and gift shop. All the produce sold is raised right there on the farm.  Bring a picnic lunch, you can easily spend a good part of the day exploring.  Wear your walking shoes,  experience farm living in picturesque Holmes County.
