Description:

Ten Thousand Villages reminds me a little of Pier One Imports … on STEROIDS!  But what truly sets it apart isn’t just the size and diversity of eclectic global goodies you can find here, it’s the fact that Ten Thousand Villages is a “fair trade” retailer.

Ten Thousand Villages is open Monday – Thursday from 10 – 6 pm, Friday from 10 – 9 pm and Saturday from 10 – 5 pm.  They’re closed Sunday.

The shop in Ephrata is the flagship store in the Ten Thousand Villages network.  Here you can find jewelry, scarves & bags, kitchen and dining items, wall art, home accents, outdoor décor, all kinds of music and musical instruments and unique gifts.  The items are crafted by artisans from around the globe (something like 130 artisan groups in 38 countries!).

What’s nice about Ten Thousand Villages is that there’s something for everyone and every occasion.  I especially like shopping here for children’s gifts because they’re unique, colorful and hand crafted.  They’ve got so many different types of drums, flutes, and percussion instruments to choose from, all guaranteed to make children’s eyes light up and parent’s cringe!  Everything they sells just seems special because you know it was hand-crafted and that your buying it helps make someone’s life a little better!

From the Author: This is our go-to shop for unique and thoughtful gifts to give to men or women, boys or girls! It seems cliche to say there's "something for everyone"... but there IS... so does that count?!
