Susquehanna Glass is located in a back alley of downtown Columbia.  They’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 to 5 pm.  They offer free tours of their original 100 year old factory on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am and 1 pm and Friday at 10:30 pm.  Appointments for tours are suggested.  Tours are not held when the weather is either very hot or very cold.

Susquehanna Glass is not a glass MAKING factory.  Their expertise is in decorating the glass.  They’ve been hand cutting gifts, stemware and barware for retail and business customers since 1910.

Walking through the factory store gives you the chance to see a wide array of glassware types with an equally wide array of designs adorning them!  Everything from grapes, flowers, team names, monograms, nautical themes can be found on items ranging from wine and beer glasses to glass wine buckets and shot glasses.  The decoration can be either painted or etched into the glass.

This is a wonderful place to shop for personalized gifts and awards.  At Susquehanna Glass you’re working directly with the people DOING the decoration, which not only assures you a certain level of quality (they must be doing SOMETHING right to still be in operation after 100 years!), but also for factory-direct pricing.
