Here’s something sweet to do while you’re in the French Quarter. Walk over to Sucré and treat yourself to a delectable French macaron. These light-as-air cookies are filled with luscious mousse and come in assorted flavors such as salted caramel, strawberry, pistachio and—because you’re in New Orleans—Bananas Foster and other specialty combinations.

Billing itself as “A Sweet Boutique,” Sucré is true to its motto. Here are bakery cases filled with swoon-worthy sweets; not only colorful macarons, but rich chocolates, homemade marshmallows, fancy cakes and tortes, and pretty mini desserts.

Sucré has several locations throughout the city, but only this French Quarter one has a Salon Restaurant located upstairs where you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea, light lunch and dinner—and of course—dessert.
