The School House Winery is a 128 year old brick school house that has been restored and is now a boutique winery. The winery is  owned and operated by Dave and Jennifer Jagunic.  All the wines are made on premises by Dave himself!

It was voted as Ohio’s most unique Winery by Discover Ohio.com in January of 2014.  The building itself is beautiful and the owners have done a wonderful job of keeping historical aspects of a one room school house and incorporating a distinctive winery.  The Winery is located out of town in a picturesque setting with emerald green lawns, a pond, patio and a stage where musical entertainment featuring local bands on Saturday night during the summer months.

A light menu is offered with items such as pizza, meat and cheese plate, meatballs in a bread bowl and sub sandwiches– all at reasonable prices.  The staff is friendly and willing to give suggestions and education on wine and wine choices.  Tastings are offered for fifty cents each and the School House Winery has a nice selection of dry, semi-dry, sweet and fruit wines.  A personal favorite is the cherry wine made from the Winery”s own cherry trees.  The School House Winery has ample seating inside if the weather is too cold or rainy.  The Winery beckons one to sit down for a spell and enjoy the wine and atmosphere.
