Description:

If you’re looking for great seafood in New Orleans, Peche Seafood Grill (800 Magazine St) is a phenomenal new restaurant with unforgettable dishes on its menus. This Warehouse District gem may be a newcomer to the local restaurant scene, but it has firmly established itself as a standout seafood locale. Peche has already been honored with two coveted James Beard Awards: Best New Restaurant and Best Chef: South, Chef Ryan Prewitt.

One secret to Peche’s incredible dishes is that the restaurant sources many of its ingredients from regional farms in the Gulf South as well as other top-notch farms for certain foods you won’t find in this area. Peche lists its huge list of farms on its website, which includes farms for dairy, meat, seafood, and produce.

Tip:  You must try the fried bread!

Peche has a decently sized menu that kicks off with a raw bar, including fish, seafood salad and steak tartare with oyster aioli. For a few quick bites, Peche’s gourmet snack menu includes shrimp toast and shrimp and fontina croquettes. For small plates, Peche offers catfish with pickled greens and chili broth and crawfish and jalapeno capellini, or you can start out with a curried shrimp bisque or seafood gumbo. The stars of the show include grilled tuna with olive salad and baked drum with lemon broth and green peas. Peche offers a selection of meats in addition to its famous seafood items as well.

If unbeatable seafood is what you’re after, Peche is a great choice to please the palate, and Chef Ryan Prewitt offers a meal you won’t soon forget.
