Description:

Pam Foss has been creating visual art for 30 years, driven by the joy of discovering new methods and materials to express her artistic vision. It is this drive that led her to create a revolutionary new collection of sculpture derived entirely from common insulation foam board (Styrofoam).

A stunning selection of sculptures from this amazing new collection is currently on display at the Pam Foss Gallery/Studio on 200 High Street in Chestertown, Maryland. Also shown in the gallery are a series of abstract oil paintings by Joe Mayer and a selection of mixed-media pieces by Heidi Clark.

Some of her most amazing pieces are bronze sculptures. One in particular, is a striking piece of an octopus called “Big Brother 2013”.

Her “Dynamic Diorama” are intriguing pieces that unfold to expose a miniature version of Peggy Guggenheim’s “Art of this Century Gallery”. The details are incredible.

While Pam creates art in the back of the shop, her husband Bob is the face of the front of the house. He delights in giving detailed tours of his wife’s beautiful artwork. Their shop and Pam’s artwork is a wonderful addition to Chesterton’s many fine art galleries and should be on everyone to-see list while visiting the Eastern Shore.

From the Author: Chestertown has a designated arts and entertainment district and is home to a large group of well-known artists. Many have studios in town and are always happy to open the doors to interested parties.
