Misery Loves Company is a dining experience in downtown Winooski which has rapidly become very popular and very well-known among residents and visitors alike. Born from the partnership of a husband-wife-brother trio, their philosophy is pretty well summed up in a quote from one of the co-chefs and co-owners Nathaniel Wade: they were “sick of eating crap.”

They started in a truck called the “Big Red” and moved into their space on the rotary about two years afterwards. Their tapas-style dishes are made for sharing and are loaded with flavor, their specialties being Asian and Italian fusion dishes in particular, and you’re guaranteed to see one or two different items on the menu every time you go, due to how frequently they rotate and change it.

Early evening hours see the restaurant full of young families and kids, while many people come into the bar as the night goes on to sample the cocktails and wine list. A simple and modern interior, a fun and upbeat ambiance — what more could you ask for in a dining experience?
