Description:
Founders Hall Was built as a tribute to Milton S. Hershey and his wife Catherine. It took over three years to build Founders Hall in the late 60’s and opened in late 1970.
It contains administration offices for the school and also includes the visitor center and contains a 2,700 seat auditorium. The MSH Campus sits on 2,640 acres of student homes, athletic fields and other recreational areas.
This is one place that I always tell every visitor to go and see, everything on this tour is free. There is a movie to watch that explains how the Hershey’s couldn’t have children and opened an all-boys orphanage in 1909. When Milton Hershey died, he left the bulk of his fortune to the school. There are posters of every graduating class to browse thru while there.
Hours open for tours: 10am to 3pm daily
A lot of people come to Hershey to ride the rides at Hershey Park and never know all about the school for the under privileged. Please take the time to tour this land mark on your next visit, you will not be disappointed.
