A most unique store has opened in Duluth Minnesota for quilt lovers. It’s not your usual quilt store but one full of excitement, unique and beautiful quilts on the wall and the most up-to-date longarm quilting machines you’ve ever seen. The incredible APQS machines have names such as Millie, Freddie, Lucey, Lenni, and George. While visiting the shop, you can see the machines in action or take one for a “test drive”. You will fall in love!

In a beautiful new storefront, McTavish Quilting Studio offers longarm quilting machine sales, beginner and advanced classes, technical support and machine servicing and quilting services. Most importantly, you can rent a machine to finish your own quilt after being taught by one of the best quilters in the area. You can learn the art from nationally recognized longarm artist, instructor and author Karen McTavish.

Once you have taken a Beginner Longarm Class you can rent one of the machines to finish your quilt. Karen and her staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and will make sure your project turns out beautifully.

The new store is located on the hillside in East Duluth and is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is lots of information on the website and a very interesting blog to follow.
