What started out several years ago as four small tables for visitors to sit at in the Mangia Bakery, has grown into a very popular cafe frequented as often by locals as by visitors. We know that if it’s popular with locals that is is a good place to eat! Beck still makes a whole list of cakes, pies and other deserts for dine in and pick up but now the soups, salads and sandwiches are no longer just something she provides on the side.

Mangia’s motto is “Naturally Good Food” and the cafe lives up to it’s motto.  Choose from breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and soups that have a distinctive Beck Poletti touch.  The Rainbow Salad is beautiful with colorful vegetables, the quiche of the day comes with a side of fresh fruit in season, and the soups (in winter only) are from scratch daily.  Add a cup of coffee, a pot of tea or one of a variety of cold beverages and enjoy your meal inside at one of the old fashion tables, or outside at an umbrella table where you can watch what is happening in the Village.

Don’t forget to leave room for desert.  Each day there is a different selection of cookies, bars, pies or cake to choose from. But be sure to arrive before two PM when she closes for the day or you will miss out!
