Jefferson Texas is home to some fun and unique gift shops it is sometimes hard to decide what to shop for first. Made in the Shade is one of those fun stores. Angie the owner started the boutique to rebuild lamp shades, you know the ones that have all the beautiful lace and beading and fancy trims. Then she started adding other items to the store, now you’ll find some antiques, antique tablecloths, gloves and linens. And then some really lovely antique and costume jewelry and pins found their way onto the shelves which is a great fit to compliment the other items in the gift shop.

The next thing Angie noticed was a need for hats and antique clothing so she went hunting and found lines of very cute clothing that look feminine and historic but made today. Her clothing line has become a huge hit with the ladies around town. One of the bonuses of her clothing line is that she doesn’t just carry small sizes; you can find them in large and X-large sizes too. Once you have picked out an outfit be sure to add a few accessories to that ensemble and you’re set to go.

This eclectic boutique is air-conditioned in the summer and located at the end of the big red barn just across the railroad tracks downtown.
