Over 60 artists feature their hand blown glass art in downtown Duluth Minnesota at the Lake Superior Art Glass store. It’s hard not to be amazed as you stand on the sidewalk outside the store and watch owner Dan Neff demonstrate his beautiful craft of making works of glass art from a tube of glass. Then go inside and explore all there is to see including jewelry, vases, paper weights, drink ware, tableware, ornaments, vessels, wall art, stained glass and more.

Lake Superior Art Glass got its start from Go Downtown Grow Downtown–a business space giveaway in 2012. Business owners submitted business plans and the finalists were offered free space for one year and an incentive package including marketing, chamber membership, retail mentoring services, advertising from the local newspaper and a start-up loan.

The store is located on Superior Street in Downtown Duluth and parking is available on the street or in the casino parking ramp for $1 an hour. The gallery is open Monday through Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If you would like to learn the craft of glass art, an introduction to glass torching is available. After you have completed that class, you may be interested in the class to learn to make a wine goblet. All the information on classes and an online store is at their website.
