If you are looking for a special way to travel to Martha’s Vineyard then the Island Queen ferry is your best bet. The ferry has been operating out of Falmouth Harbor for over 50 years during the late May through mid-October timeframe. The trip is about 35 minutes in length and you can enjoy the wonderful views of Falmouth and Martha’s Vineyard’s coastlines along Vineyard Sound from inside the ship or out on the deck. They offer a complete snackbar as well.

You do not need to make reservations but it is good to get to the ticket counter a good 45 minutes before sail time during the summer months. Ticket prices for adults are $20 for a round trip ticket and $12 for a one way ticket. Ticket prices for children ages 5-12  are $10 round trip and $6 one way and children 4 and under are free.

If you plan to bring a bicycle you will pay $8 for a round trip fare and $4 for a one way fare.
