Description:
Ignatius Eatery, located on popular Magazine Street, is a great stop for New Orleans comfort food. With a laid-back atmosphere and a lineup of Creole dishes, there’s plenty to savor.
Sandwich fans will find one of the best roast beef po-boys in the city here. Enjoy it with the hand-cut fries—they’re excellent. Another favorite dish of mine is the Boudin meatloaf, a special mix that’s stuffed with jalapeno boudin and served with red pepper relish and mashed potatoes. Mama never made it this good! And do yourself a favor and order a side of the fried green tomatoes. Delicious!
Other Creole specialties to try include the jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, and shrimp and grits. The restaurant also does a delightful Sunday brunch.
Ignatius Eatery is open 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and also has a small bar with high-back chairs located in the back of the restaurant.
Stop by. You’ll find eating like the locals is a very good thing.
