Sharing the driveway with two other businesses, Gwillan Estate Vineyard & Winery is back along the long drive past Shadow Ranch and Moonlight Vineyards, to the left at the last fork. The beautiful drive is worth the effort. The views from the parking level and patio are exquisite of the Fair Play Valley and the ridge on the other side.  On the main road through the Fair Play Wine Country, Gwillan Estate is one of the newest wineries and yet it’s gained a reputation as being one of the best wineries as well. The family roots come from Blaengwynfi in Wales and Bedford in England. Mom and Dad, Gordon and Chris Pack, settled in California twenty years ago, Jonathan, their son, got his degree in Viticulture & Enology from UC Davis. While the winery was being built and the vines planted Jonathan worked with Perry Creek Winery for a few years, perfecting his real life skills as a winemaker.  The family divides the labor: Gordon is owner/winemaker, Chris is owner/operations manager and Jonathan is viticulturist and consulting winemaker.

Currently the Gwillan wines are: 2011 Chardonnay, 2012 Muscat Cannelli, 2013 Riesling, 2010 Petite Sirah, 2010 Zinfandel, 2010 Winemakers Selection and a 2009 Zinfandel Vintage Port. To enjoy these great award winning wines just join us in the Fair Play Wine Country any Friday, Saturday or Sunday between 11:00 – 5:00pm. Your wine tasting will be served by the owners, grape growers and winemakers.
